Food, Joy and Toys

Mission: Food, Joy & Toy’s mission is three fold: Offer relief against food insecurity & refugee resettlement, foster connections for our seniors, and spread joy through toys for our children.

Vision: Inspire connection and creativity through empathy, food and play.

What we do?

We make grocery boxes for underserved families throughout the year and specially before Ramadan. We make sure to cater each box to the family’s cultural needs. Our aim is to not just fill their bellies but also satisfy their appetites. Food that brings them comfort and warmth. We want to see a smile:)

Donate to Food Drives

We provide kids with educational toys during the holidays to develop and engage themselves with digital free fun. We want to make sure every child has something exciting to unwrap to celebrate their festival. Be it Eid or Christmas, there should be joy with a toy!

Donate to Toy Drives

We organize senior socials working with a diverse economic group of elderly people. Some of these events are entirely funded by us, while others are self-funded by the seniors. By sponsoring a senior social, you are allowing someone who could not otherwise attend to participate.

WHO ARE WE?

We are an organization dedicated to bringing relief and happiness to children and seniors. We bridge the food inadequacy gap, provide toys that allows children to express their emotions productively, and bring joy to seniors through human connection. We also provide culturally appropriate food, toys at festivals, and household supplies to assist under-served refugee populations in the Bay Area.

We offer help based on the suggestions of the community we are assisting, which are tailored to meet their specific needs.
We meet needs that go beyond what material things can provide. We build human connections.
To strengthen communities, we involve young students in wrapping, boxing, and interning with our organization.
By involving students in our work, we raise awareness about the needs of children all over the world and encourage youth activism in various forms.
